Dr Isabelle de Solier started Australia’s first “Flower-Rescue” Charity Floral Acts of Kindness in 2016.

Isabelle started Floral Acts of Kindness as a Community Project for Mitzvah Day in 2016.

In 2018 Floral Acts of Kindness Inc. became Australia's first ACNC-registered Flower Rescue Charity, with Isabelle as President and Co-Founder, alongside Bloom College’s Yvette Timmins and nursing and aged care expert Elizabeth Wise.

The charity rescued unsold flowers destined for landfill from growers and wholesalers at Melbourne Market, ran Posy-Making Workshops with hundreds of community participants, and delivered thousands of surprise Flower Posies to people in Palliative or Aged Care across Victoria.

Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic threw a spanner in the works and ground the charity's operations to a halt.

Since then, Isabelle has continued Floral Acts of Kindness as an initiative through The Doctors' Flowers shop with her husband Dr Buck Rosenberg.
